On-site inspection
You prepare: Safe access; tenant coordination for rentals.
You receive: Verified observations of existing insulation, access and eligible ceiling area.

Electrical safety assessment
You prepare: Access for a licensed electrician and switchboard where required.
You receive: Safety outcome. Hazards must be fixed before eligible insulation work. May be separately quoted.

Quote and installation
You prepare: Review the itemised quote and confirm your preferred option.
You receive: Clear quote with estimated VEU benefit and customer contribution, then compliant install when approved.

Evidence and certificates
You prepare: Any remaining consent paperwork for rentals.
You receive: Completion records for the Accredited Provider’s VEEC claim. Final certificates depend on verified work.

Process FAQs
The ceiling-insulation activity is scheduled to expand to all eligible Victorian homes from 1 October 2026. Before this date, private homeowners can register their interest and prepare for the assessment process, but the page must not imply that the general household rollout has already commenced.
Online maps and aerial images may be used for an initial estimate, but the final eligible area must accurately represent the ceiling space being upgraded. Eaves, porches, garages, voids, inaccessible sections and other excluded areas can make the verified area smaller than the roof outline.
Yes. An applicable licensed electrician must complete the required pre-installation electrical safety assessment before eligible insulation work begins. Any identified electrical hazards must be rectified before the installation can proceed.
No. The financial benefit is calculated for each eligible installation. Larger eligible ceiling areas and different climate or location factors may generate different certificate quantities, while certificate values can also change.
No. ReInsulate can provide an initial estimate, but final eligibility, ceiling area, installation scope, certificate quantity and financial benefit depend on inspection, required safety checks, supporting evidence and Accredited Provider approval.
