Do all cables need clipping?
Not automatically. Loose roof-space cables do not mean the entire house must be rewired. The electrician decides based on actual condition and risk.
If a hazard is found, rectification may be required before insulation can proceed. Electrical costs may be quoted separately and may not be covered by the insulation incentive.

Electrical safety FAQs
Yes. An applicable licensed electrician must complete the required pre-installation electrical safety assessment before eligible insulation work begins. Any identified electrical hazards must be rectified before the installation can proceed.
Not necessarily. Electrical assessment and rectification may be separate costs. If unsafe wiring, unsuitable downlights or other hazards are identified, the required work should be explained and quoted separately before proceeding.
Not automatically. The licensed electrician must determine whether cables are supported or arranged to reduce the risk of damage or strain during insulation installation. Unsafe, damaged or vulnerable wiring may require rectification, but the assessment should be based on the actual condition and risk.
The completed eligible installation must achieve at least R5.0. ReInsulate may also provide suitable R6 or R7 options, subject to the property, approved products and applicable installation requirements.
